Call Bob Plumbing ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use callbobplumbing.co.uk or contact us, why we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect

Depending on how you get in touch, we may collect:

• Website contact form: name, phone number, postcode, job description, and your privacy consent
• Phone / WhatsApp / email: the details you choose to send (typically name, number, address or postcode, and the plumbing issue)
• Job records: notes needed to quote, arrange and complete work (for example property access notes)

We do not ask for payment card details through this website.

Why we use your data (lawful basis)

We use your details to:

• Respond to enquiries and arrange call-backs or visits
• Provide plumbing and heating services you request
• Keep a customer / job record for service history, quotes and follow-up (including a future job planner system)
• Meet legal, insurance and accounting requirements where needed

Our main lawful bases are contract (or steps before a contract) and legitimate interests in running a local plumbing business and responding to enquiries. Where the website form asks for consent to store your enquiry, that consent is an additional basis for that submission.

Website contact form and customer records

When you submit the contact form, your message is stored securely as an enquiry record (a lead) so we can reply and, if you become a customer, keep your details for job planning. Those records may later be imported into our internal planning app (Bob Planner).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your enquiry details for bulk marketing emails or texts unless you clearly ask us to stay in touch for that purpose.

Who we share data with

We only share what is necessary, for example:

• Hostinger - website hosting
• Google Fonts - loads fonts for this site (Google may process connection data such as IP address)
• WhatsApp / Meta - if you message us on WhatsApp, their terms also apply
• Professional advisers, insurers or regulators where we are legally required or need to protect our rights

How long we keep it

Enquiry records that do not become jobs are normally kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised, unless we need them longer for a dispute or legal reason.

Customer and job records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and meet insurance / accounting duties (often several years).

Security

Enquiry files are stored on the hosting account with access restricted. We take reasonable steps to keep personal data secure, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely risk-free.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate details
• Delete your data (where we are not required to keep it)
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Receive a copy of data you provided (data portability), where applicable
